Mariani Orchards offers seasonal u-pick cherries in thier centrally located orchard. You will mainly find Bing cherries, but other varieties such as the sweet (perfect for pies) Tartarian, Brooks, and Lapins and many more can be distinguished by easy-to-follow tree markings. This farm is designed for fun with surprises and photo opportunities scattered throughout the orchard. In addition to the fruit picking, you may take a modern self-guided tour or step back in time with a special “harvest experience”. When cherry season is over, you can expect apricots to be ready sometime around early July!
Martinez Family Farms

Touted as the “best strawberries in town,” this small, family farm is an absolute favorite amongst locals for it’s sweet, juicy strawberries. The conveniently located farm has rows of dazzling red berries surrounding a classic, cheerful yellow farmstand—plus a great view of Morgan Hill’s El Toro peak. If you want to pick your own berries, contact them ahead of time for a u-pick reservation! The farmstand also has a rotation of seasonally available produce, like cherries.
Andy’s Orchard

Perhaps Morgan Hill’s most distinguished orchard, Andy’s Orchard specializes in old-fashioned and heirloom tree fruits like apricots, peaches, and plums. While typically not open for u-pick, they do occasionally offer pick your own orchard experiences, by announcement (keep an eye on their event calendar). One of their annual highlights are their special Tastings and Tours during the summer. These events sell out quickly, so snag tickets and taste from dozens of specialty fruit varieties to find your favorite! The farm store opens annually May 15th through December and offers fresh and dried fruit, delicious confections like chocolate dipped Blenheim apricots and Crawford peaches, and a variety of provisions perfect for your next charcuterie or picnic.

Tru2Earth Farm is a family owned U-Pick farm just south of Morgan Hill in Gilroy, California-the garlic capital of the world. This is a small family farm growing certified organic berries and vegetables only half an hour south of Silicon Valley. It is located in the Uvas Valley off of Watsonville Road, surrounded by wineries and vineyards. Their U-pick operation is well known for growing the sweetest, best-tasting berries. They take pride in growing fresh, organic berries and specialty produce that is used by some Michelin star-rated restaurants! U-pick from late spring to summer at this farm.

Pick your own fresh Coral Champagne and Bing cherries at the Borello Family owned and operated orchards. Ranch #1 and Ranch #5 are located in north Morgan Hill and open for u-pick for just a few weeks across their different ranches. Depending on fruit maturity and varietal, picking occurs typically late May-June. You’ll want to plan ahead for this popular activity and stay up to date with opening dates via their website and social media.
