Morgan Hill Sweets Trail

Morgan Hill Sweets Trail

In the words of Sarah Louise Delany, “Life is short, and it is up to you to make it sweet.” In honor of all things “sweet” during the month of love, here are some spots in Morgan Hill to make memorable moments and savor the sweetness of small town charm and connection.

Andy’s Orchard

This renowned stone fruit orchard, nestled centrally into Morgan Hill, is recognized for their high-quality, specialty fruit products, including heirloom varieties of cherries, plums, and nectarines. The orchard features a seasonal farm store offering fresh and dried fruits, jams, preserves, and confections from unique fruit varieties you won’t find at the grocery store. Enjoy choosing from an assortment of old-fashioned, handcrafted confections, like the milk and dark chocolate dipped Blenheim apricots and Crawford peaches. You can also find the Good Food Award-winning local honey from Koophaus Apiaries. Order online or by appointment January through May, or visit the farm store mid-May through December.

Snowee Rolls

Snowee Rolls brings a unique twist to sweet treats with its Thai-inspired rolled ice cream in the heart of lively downtown Morgan Hill. Customers can customize their ice cream by choosing their own flavors and toppings, or one of the recommended combinations, and the ice cream is rolled right in front of them on a frozen pan. There aren’t only delicious ice creams, but also a selection of sweet drinks like Vietnamese coffee and sugar cane juice. Overall, Snowee Rolls is a fun and visually appealing experience for the whole family.

Craft Roots

We had to include some adult treats of the spirited variety from Craft Roots, because they are just that good! This vegan bar and grill is ranked as one of the nation’s top plant-based restaurants by Gotham Magazine. What may be less known is that this eatery has an incredible beverage program with local brews, ciders, wine, and kombucha, with many mixed into a creative cocktail menu. As fresh as their farm to table dishes are their rotating slushy flavors like black tea and seasonal fruit, CBD-infused refreshers like “All The Rage”, and delectable fruit and herb forward cocktails and mocktails.

Vitality Bowls

For those seeking a healthier sweet option, Vitality Bowls is a “superfood café” specializing in acai bowls. These nutrient-packed bowls feature acai berries blended and topped with various fruits, granola, nuts, and other wholesome ingredients. Their ethos is to provide the purest taste possible by avoiding ice, frozen yogurt, or artificial preservatives in their blends. You’ll also find fresh juices, smoothies and a variety of lunch options like wraps and salads. Food allergy or preference? Vitality Bowls makes all items in a non-cross contact kitchen, designed to accommodate special dietary needs. This café is a refreshing and satisfying alternative for those looking to satisfy their sweet cravings while maintaining a focus on nutrition.

Lawsons Bakery

Indulge in a sweet symphony of passion and quality at Lawson’s Bakery tucked into the south side of Morgan Hill. This hidden gem delights with an array of pastries, cookies, muffins, homemade pie, and coffees crafted with the finest ingredients. The warm and inviting ambience makes it the perfect place for a homey breakfast, brunch, or special occasion treat, as well as takeaway for on-the-go. Sometimes, they even have fresh, warm beignets dusted in powdered sugar. Lawson’s Bakery has the all-around charm and variety, not to miss in Morgan Hill!

O’Henry’s Donuts

This is a local favorite for donut enthusiasts, offering a variety of flavors in a cute, retro diner-inspired shop with notably friendly service. Pick up some fresh, light, and fluffy classics like cake donuts, filled donuts with jelly and custard, glazed twists, fritters, claws, holes, and more unique and specialty options like the croissant-donut hybrid. During holidays, you’re sure to find festively decorated sprinkles and there’s always a selection of drinks like coffee, hot chocolate, and Vietnamese coffee. Pro tip: people love the burgers here!

MOHI Farm

This restaurant honors Morgan Hill’s rich farming history while appealing to discerning tastes with a seasonal, farm-to-table menu. Those with a sweet tooth will love the barista bar or dessert menu, thanks to an in-house pastry chef creating an array of tempting baked goods and treats for morning and beyond. Pair your cappuccino or sweet, fresh squeezed orange juice with one of their tempting loaves--they usually have a selection of flavors with a gluten free option. They also have a variety of house made syrups, like lavender and hazelnut, to sweeten up your coffee. They also have decadent tableside desserts like chocolate mousse, seasonal cobbler, tiramisu, and bread pudding, which go perfect with a nightcap!

Tealite Drinks & Snow

Fulfill your boba cravings at Tealite Drinks & Snow in Morgan Hill’s Tennant Stations shopping center. This shop specializes in milk tea, boba drinks, smoothies, slushies, shaved snow ice, ice cream, and bahn bao. Adding to the ambience is a leafy photo backdrop and a claw-drop game machine, making a simple and fun spot for unique and flavorful beverages.
