When the weather warms up, Morgan Hill’s wineries come to life pairing musical acts with wine tasting, food, and fun. There are dozens of events each week to choose from. Guglielmo Winery has its Vines & Vibes Concert Series on Wednesday nights, featuring a free live show on their event center stage, delicious local food trucks, refreshing wine slushies, and classic wines by the glass or bottle. Clos LaChance Vineyards hosts the KRTY Song & Wine Series. This sellout series features performances by the songwriters behind country music’s top hits on Thursday nights, once each month from May through October. You’ll also find a rotation of musical acts playing at northern Morgan Hill’s P & V Winery, J Winston Winery, and Lightpost Winery. 2. Morgan Hill Festivals
Each year the Friday Night Music Series brings together locals and visitors alike at the Downtown Morgan Hill Amphitheater. This free, weekly series, running June through August, features three shows in one with local cultural group performances, an opening band, and a headliner. Set in an open air amphitheater, this is a perfect cap to a summer Friday night after enjoying downtown’s eateries and brew pubs. There are local food vendors, wineries, and treats available for purchase. Morgan Hill is also home to the annual Boots & Brews Country Music Festival at the Morgan Hill Outdoor Sports Center. You’ll also find live music at community festivals like the Open Streets Morgan Hill series, the Morgan Hill Mushroom Music Benefit on Memorial weekend, the Morgan Hill Freedom Fest, and the Weekly Farmers’ Market downtown.
3. Morgan Hill restaurants & Breweries
The restaurants, bistros, and breweries are no exception when it comes to live entertatinment in quaint Morgan Hill! Bubbles & Brew Bistro features an almost year round music series at their creekside patio, dubbed Grant’s Garden. Each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings local acts set the scene for bistro bites and an amazing selection of wine, beer, and of course—bubbles! Kelly Brewing Company features a series of fun concerts in their beer garden, often paired with local food trucks. They offer a wide selection of open air fermented ales, as well as a rotating selection of fruity “Kelly Klaws” and Cruz Kombucha. Sip on some fine local cider while chilling back to live tunes at the outdoor tasting room at TenFiveOne Cider Co. They have a series of weekend tastings and bands lined up. You’ll also find pop-up entertainment at Chacho’s, weekend DJ sets at Willard Hicks, and local-favorite musicians at Mama Mia’s Mediterranean Italian.
