Guglielmo Winery Marks Centennial Anniversary
A 100-Year Legacy of Winemaking Celebrated with Special Events
Guglielmo Winery is proud to announce its 100th anniversary filled with special events to celebrate this historic milestone. The continuously family-owned and operated winery, located in the scenic Santa Clara Valley in Morgan Hill, has been dedicated to crafting high-quality, award-winning wines for a century.
This milestone honors the enduring legacy of Emilio and Emilia Guglielmo, who purchased the first 15 acres of the Morgan Hill ranch in September 1925. In these early years, they crafted wine in the basement of their home to share with family and friends. After the repeal of Prohibition, they constructed the first winery building, marking the beginning of a four-generation family legacy.
The anniversary celebrations will be marked by several standout events at Guglielmo’s Villa Emile Event Center and winery grounds throughout 2025. A grand Centennial Gala will be held on May 31, followed by the annual Harvest Festival on August 16. The festivities continue into fall with vineyard tours and tastings on September 6 and 7, and a celebration concert by Pasquale Esposito, Italian-born American tenor, on September 28. On November 8, visitors may participate in a unique “bottle your own wine” experience, which has been a Guglielmo Winery tradition for 75 years.
“We’re not just celebrating 100 years of making wine; we’re celebrating 100 years of family, of community, and the deep connections we’ve built along the way,” said George Guglielmo, president and winemaker. “This milestone is a tribute to our grandparents’ vision, the incredible dedication of our wonderful staff, and the unwavering support of the Morgan Hill community and the greater Santa Clara Valley."
"Generations of customers have embraced us by purchasing our wines, joining our wine club, and sharing in the joy of our events. Their loyalty and enthusiasm have been the foundation of our success. We graciously invite everyone to be a part of this special year-long celebration,” added Gene Guglielmo, vice president.
