Join the "Teal Pumpkin Painting Party," where Halloween fun meets food allergy awareness!
This event is at the Morgan Hill Library on October 29, 2022 from 3-5 PM. This is a free event, open to all. Community members are invited to come to the Morgan Hill Library to paint a mini pumpkin teal, in honor of Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE)'s Teal Pumpkin Project.
Mini pumpkins, paint, stickers, glitter glue, etc. are included for everyone while supplies last.
The Teal Pumpkin Project invites families to provide non-food treats in addition to candy treats should they wish. Non-food treats make Halloween more inclusive to those with food allergies, because most popular candy includes the top 8 allergens. It also benefits those with other food restrictions, sensitivities, diabetes, and similar health conditions.
A teal pumpkin at the front door lets trick-or-treaters know that non-food treats are available. Painting a teal pumpkin at our event does not mean that participants have to partake in the Teal Pumpkin Project, it is just a way for community members to learn more about it in a fun way!
