Enjoy the beauty of the sunset and the nighttime on this three-mile hike!
Join us to explore Rancho Cañada del Oro at night! Docent Paul will lead us on a 3-mile round-trip hike around this beautiful open space preserve located in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The hike begins before sunset and rises 600 feet along the Mayfair Ranch Trail. Bring dinner or a snack to enjoy while we wait for night to fall. Then, using flashlights, we will hike the same trail back. Along the way, experience the nighttime sights and sounds of the preserve that you won't get during the day!
Be sure to bring food, water, a flashlight, and a light jacket to put on when it gets cool after sunset. Registration is required, and a waiting list will be available if the event fills up.
