The FREE, first-ever Morgan Hill International Celebration is slated for Saturday, October 16, from 3-7 PM at the Morgan Hill Community Cultural Center.
Under One Sky, We are One Morgan Hill Family!
This free event is sponsored by the Morgan Hill Library Culture and Arts Commission and will not only celebrate the cultural diversity of Morgan Hill through educational entertainment, performances, culinary experiences, but will also feature booths with (i) arts and crafts, (ii) cultural and educational artefacts, as well as (iii) education about issues of global (International) impact (like the environment and climate change, e.g.). The MH library will be there too - how better to travel in our minds through a book and educational programming?
Traveling to different countries offers us insights into other people’s lives and cultures. And although people from faraway lands may initially seem vastly different from our own, through exposure we realize that we all share a connection and common human bond — developing empathy and a deeper understanding of other cultures because under the big blue sky, we are one human family.
Fortunately for us, we don’t need to travel far from Morgan Hill to be enriched and educated by the myriad cultures present amongst us.
You will be dazzled, entertained and educated by the performances that have been lined up for you, celebrating many countries from all over the globe that make up the community of Morgan Hill.
Created with families in mind, join us for this educational evening celebrating the diversity of our Morgan Hill family!
You will also be able to view works from the 4th annual Morgan Hill Youth Art Show, highlighting art by local youth ages 5-13. You won’t want to miss this exciting evening!
