The Fifth Annual Food Truck Fly-In
San Martin Airport Food Truck Fly-In Returns November 1 with Halloween “Scareport” Theme
Flying machines, food trucks, and families will once again share the flight line at San Martin Airport on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 10 am to 4 pm. The Fifth Annual Food Truck Fly-In is a free community event featuring delicious food, aircraft displays, aviation-centered entertainment, a car show, live music, and a brand-new Halloween twist: “Scareport” trick-or-treating for young attendees.
“This year we’re excited to bring a little Halloween spirit to the airport,” said Niki Britton, co-organizer of the event. “Kids can dress up and trick-or-treat for airplane-themed goodies while families enjoy aviation, food, and music together at our own San Martin airfield.”
Highlights of the 2025 Food Truck Fly-In include:
Food Truck Fiesta – Mouth-watering choices of food for purchase from a variety of locally owned and operated food trucks, including: Tlaxiacos Pizza, Grillzilla, Chickn Bros, Akita Sushi, La Patrona Cocina Mexicana, Fire and Slice Pizza Truck, and more.
Halloween “Scareport” Trick-or-Treating – Aviation-themed treats and fun for kids.
Airplane Demonstrations, Skydives, & RC Flights – Engaging performances in the sky and on the field.
Aircraft & Helicopters on Display - Explore airplanes and helicopters up close on the flight line.
Live Music - Performances from local musicians throughout the day.
Silent Auction - Bid on unique items and experiences, with proceeds supporting aviation scholarships.
Aviation Scholarship Award: The South County Airport Pilots Association will be awarding four, $3000 scholarships to local students of aviation.
“San Martin Airport has long been an important part of our community,” adds Joe McMurray, co-organizer. “From serving as a CalFire staging area during fire season to hosting programs like Young Eagles and DART, this airport plays a vital role. Events like the Food Truck Fly-In show the community how special it is to have this resource right in our backyard.”
The event draws thousands of attendees from Morgan Hill, San Martin, Gilroy, and surrounding areas, bringing neighbors together to celebrate aviation and community spirit. All profits benefit aviation-centered scholarships sponsored by the South County Airport Pilots Association (SCAPA).
