About the Artist:

Samantha Buller is an oil painter based in Petaluma,California. She received a BFA from The Academy of Art University, San Francisco. Originally from the Bay Area, her work reflects the beautiful light and modernism that is found in northern California. Her love of color drives her work. She is inspired by work created by the late Wayne Thiebaud, especially for his paint application, attention to color and composition. She is also inspired by the work of Raimonds Straprans for his layering techniques. Her work has been featured in the Hall of Justice in downtown San Francisco, in businesses, several galleries, and has even had her work featured on a prime time television show. In 2013, Southwest Art Magazine named Buller as one of 2013's Young Artists to Watch.
